Ranked Mode matches reward your win bonus based on the Splatfest Power level of the opposing team. The Synergy Bonus, only possible in Normal Mode, will also contribute to SP. Winning a match in Normal Mode adds an additional 70 SP. Inking at least 400p of turf during the match earns you 20 SP. Splatfest Points (SP) are used to increase your Splatfest Rank which will determine how many Super Sea Snails you earn after Splatfest results are revealed. SP are earned at the end of each match. Notifications of 100x Battle wins will be distributed to all players participating in Splatfest that chose the same Splatfest team. Any of your friends playing Splatfest will receive a notification on a news ticker in the bottom left corner of the matchmaking Lobby and on Splatnet 2 informing them of your team's accomplishment possibly appearing on screens in Inkopolis Square. Winning a 10x Battle will multiply the Clout you earned during that match by ten. You'll be notified of this when the match starts. When on a winning streak, your team might be selected to participate in a 10x Battle. When you’re on a winning streak, you’re more likely to match with other players on a winning streak or with players as close to your skill level as possible. The top 100 players with the highest Splatfest Power on each team will be featured on leaderboards viewable on Splatnet 2. You get more Clout by beating teams with a higher Splatfest Power. There is no Synergy Bonus in this mode and Clout is only earned when you win matches. Unlike Normal Mode, you will not be able to keep the same team members if you continue after a match. This mode is played with randomized matchmaking and cannot team up with friends. When you select Continue or Change gear and Continue!, you can continue onto the next battle with the same team. In this mode, the amount you inked during the match and any win bonus you receive are added together to determine your Clout. Playing with fewer than four friends will add the appropriate number of other players to your team. You can play on your own, or join up with 1-3 Switch friends if they're on your same Splatfest team. The main differences between them are matchmaking and how Clout is earned. Both modes feature the same stages and Turf War Rules.
